I enjoy leading the circles and helping other people Breathe and experience the benefits as I do. It’s wonderful to hold space for the amazing ability to heal using our breath and our bodies.

When I was small my great Aunt Meme used to say, “forgive and forget” to every complaint I had. “How can I forget something like that?” I’d say, “You just do.” She’d say, “I can forgive it, but I can’t forget it” I’d say. “You’ll suffer until you do both,” she’d say. I’d get so angry. I think she was right.

Today Roberto said, “Sometimes the road it goes straight, sometimes crooked. That is life.”

If we are willing to take a new turn on some freshly paved highway and forgive and bless the bumpy roads of the past, we can concentrate our energy on a new and exciting adventure.

When I hear the words "New Year’s resolution" I see two words, re and solution. To me a re-solution indicates that something didn’t work and it "needs" to be re-solved in the new calendar year, in the future. Things are growing NOW; every moment of growth is precious! Every moment is a new moment. There is no need for a re-solution when we honor that every moment is a new miracle and praise, thank and love every moment. Love never needs re-solving. There is, never was, and never will be a problem when love is present. When we open to more love we find that "problems" are illusions created by the mind. A seed that does not grow only fails to do so if it is not watered, nurtured, and embraced by the earth, and warmed by the sun. We blossom and grow when we bask in the glory of pure, divine love and even more so when we bask in that love with community.

This New Year I choose to give and receive more love. I choose to embrace, allow and surrender to compassion and love and invite you to do the same.

Oh the Holidays! Full of magic, coziness and challenges. Who are you with your family? No one is more subjective then a family member. Perhaps no one loves you, knows you better or inspires you to throw a tantrum more than your loved ones. Sometimes it’s hard to remember the love when your sister, brother, mother, Aunt May or Uncle Sam is saying, "the problem with you is..." after the 3rd drink. Unless you are totally, 100% sure that you are perfect exactly the way you are there’s a relatively good chance you’ll throw a dark cloud in the direction of the offending family member and cover yourself with it too.

The "problem" with thinking you know someone, is not giving them the space to be who they are, right now. The "problem" with thinking you know yourself is the same one. Chalk it up to another great experience to forgive and forget and love yourself and everyone else as much as you can. I’m sorry. I love you.

HO'OPONOPONO

Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years and cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients without ever seeing any of them. Dr. Len would study an inmate's chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person's illness. While he looked at files, he would work on himself. As he improved himself, the patient improved. He used a Hawaiian healing process called ho’oponopono.

After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely. Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. Those who had no chance of ever being released were being freed. And not only that, the staff began to enjoy coming to work. Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. They ended up with more staff than they needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed.' Dr. Len was simply healing the part of him that created the patients dis-ease He said "total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life - simply because it is in your life - is your responsibility. In a literal sense the entire world is your creation." ho 'oponopono means loving yourself. "If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone, you do it by healing you." What was Dr. Len doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients' files? "'I just kept saying, 'I'm sorry' and 'I love you' over and over again,'" he explained.

Loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world. Whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there's only one place to look: inside you. When you look, do it with love."

Last month I went horseback riding thanks to Amazon Herbs. I hadn’t done that in 27 years. I developed allergies as a teenager and would break out in hives just being in close proximity to a horse, which was heartbreaking for me, as I love horses. I received the First Sphere of Ascension with Supriya and Amrita Ishaya at the Shakti Building in San Francisco. Ishaya’s Ascension technique is very sweet, powerful and simple. Ascension adds gentleness and stillness to my meditation practice and my daily life. I don’t have to set time aside to Ascend. I can Ascend anywhere, even on the bus, with my eyes open. It’s given me a new way to reach stillness.

I have been greatly enjoying, studying, and meditating on the flower of life lately. It has expanded my view of reality and given me a deep sense of peace and love for all life, everywhere.

Who 1st said a picture is worth 1000 words? Did one person say it in one place at one time, or did many people start to say it all at once? It is now stated almost always as a fact that I’ve never heard anyone question or quantify. I actually researched it and couldn’t find an answer. Is one picture is worth 1,000 words?

Does one symbol found inscribed in sacred places all over the world dated as far back as the known inception of writing worth all of life itself? Does the flower of life contain "all knowledge both male and female, no exception" Drunvalo Melchizedek poses a theorem I find no reason to doubt. He stated within his book The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Volume One, that, "Within the proportions of the Flower of Life is every single aspect of life there is. Every single mathematical formula, every law of physics, every harmony in music, every biological life form right down to your specific body. It contains every atom, every dimensional level, absolutely everything that’s within waveform universes."

I went to see Derek O’Neil this year. Shaman Elka Boran suggested that I go. I had a powerful session with her, and afterwards she gave me her card and wrote Derek’s website on the back. She said, "Go see him. I don’t tell everyone, I’m telling you." I put the card on my desk and it got lost in a sea of papers. One day I sorted through everything intending to find the card. I ended up with a clean desk, and no card. I realized that my opportunity to see Derek might expire. I couldn’t remember his name, Elka’s name or a website.

Two days before Derek’s last engagement in the U.S. the card literally floated up from underneath my monitor. I booked a flight to Spokane Washington the next day and was there that night. When I arrived in Spokane I was still grumbling at the universe for not sending me to N.Y. or Arizona or someplace that I wanted to go. I think I would have gone anywhere but Spokane given the choice, and it was perfect that I ended up there. Spokane is actually a pretty nice city anyway. Derek said that it was the most powerful workshop yet. I certainly felt I was in the right place at the right time.

Derek is true unconditional love. He does everything in a relaxed friendly way and miracles just happened around him. "All you have to do is intend them and they happen," he says matter of factly. Every thing is a miracle, everything and every moment. Yes, vhibuthi manifested in the back of the room. It just does that he says, it just keeps manifesting courtesy of Satya Sai Baba. All you have to do is intend anything and it happens.

He answered questions people had about their lives and I was fortunate enough to be one of the people. As I was leaving the microphone he said, "you give a great massage." I’m still beaming about that.

I asked Amma one of those what am I supposed to be doing with my life questions. She said "What are you doing now?" "Healing work and photography", I replied. She answered, "Keep doing that," and I am.

Recently I had the opportunity to teach a segment of Silvia Nakkach’s weekend class on sound healing at CIIS. I gave everyone in the class a Reiki Healing Attunement. I channeled sound to open the gateway to the healing energy and tune the vibration of energy in an individual or in a place, like tuning in a radio to a particular station.

I taught a class on Manifestation and Creativity at Harbin Hot Springs  this fall. We talked about the miracle of a moment. It’s the biggest gift and the biggest challenge to be truly present in a moment, to just be being. I asked the students to look inside and paint their vibrational energy in the now as they experienced it. Each student painted a very clear image of a cell. It was a reminder that all life at it’s core looks the same and we are all uniquely us. I believe that we are the creators of the world and that what we create manifests. Every thought, every action, and every reaction illustrates that we create our world and our lives. We are all responsible for painting our own canvases through our thoughts and actions.
