About KaBody

Ka

“Kas” in Ancient Egyptian cosmology, are the 8 immortal parts of a being; the 9th part of a being is the physical form. In the West we look at the “Kas” as the 8 parts of a soul. I use the word “Kabody” to illustrate the crucial union of body and soul, essential to a healthy life. Physical illness cannot be completely healed until the body and the soul (KaBody) are healed and in harmony.

The god Nehebkau is credited with uniting the “Kas” with the physical body. Nehebkau is a primeval, benevolent serpent god allied with the sun.

Primeval serpent deities associated with the sun are present in many cosmologies. I see these primeval serpents as DNA, and DNA as two serpents intertwined. Serpent like energy is described in the West as Kundalini. Kundalini is life force energy and consciousness “coiling” (like a snake) at the base of the spine. Kundalini is described as serpent energy because, when awakened, it moves up the spine like a snake moves up a branch. As Kundalini moves up the spine, healing energy spirals throughout the body. Body and soul are life force energy and consciousness. Awakening Kundalini energy means coming to consciousness about the life force inside our bodies. Being in touch with the energy of our bodies helps propel us toward consciousness. Once we awaken to the energy of our bodies we can more easily recognize, access and resource energy outside our physical space. We can recognize and integrate our “Kas”, and unite them with our physical bodies so that our

KaBodies

“Kabodies” are in health and harmony.

We are energy beings.

Life is energy.

Everything is composed of energy and everything is largely the same. This is the essence of consciousness.

The metaphor for this is Nehebkau swimming in the primordial waters at the beginning of creation. When time began Nehebkau joined with the sun, our ultimate energy source without which our planet would probably cease to exist.
