Reiki
Reiki is a powerful and gentle healing technique. Rei means universal. Ki means life energy. To do Reiki is to use universal life energy to heal body and soul.
What exactly does that mean? Quantum physics has shown that at the subatomic level all things are made up of tiny bits of energy. The universe is energy. Life is energy. We are energy beings. Our awareness about what energy is and what good we can do with it is taking a good feeling to it’s full potential.
Have you ever gotten on a bus with a driver that smiles at you and says “good morning?’ Contrarily have you ever gotten on to a bus with a driver that is in a bad mood? Take a moment to imagine a situation or recall an experience of being around someone in a good mood and someone in a bad mood and remember what it felt like to be around them and how it impacted you. What you are recalling is how their energy mixed with yours. You felt their energy and it created a sympathetic reaction within your own energy field.
Do you believe it could be useful to know how to brush away a negative energy field or incorporate a positive one? I do, and that’s why I teach and do Reiki.
We’ve all felt tired around some people and energized around others. That is an example of energy transfer. If you find yourself worn-out around certain people, you may be unconsciously giving your own life energy to someone that is unconsciously draining it from you. Reiki will help you learn how to protect your energy and how to tune in to the energy around you so you can be energized instead of drained. You can also channel energy directly to a person who needs it and actually be energized by the process.
Understanding how to harness, use, attract and repel energy is what Reiki teaches. Everyone naturally gives and receives energy, but not everyone knows what to do with it.
Imagine what would happen if you gave you something delicious and so nutritious that it could heal any illness and I didn’t tell you what it was and you didn’t know. Imagine in fact that you didn’t know it was food. What would you do? You might hold onto it a while out of curiosity, eventually it’s likely that you would forget about it or toss it aside and move on. Forgetting about it, tossing it aside and moving on is what the average person does with energy. Many people don’t understand what energy is or how to use it so it’s concept has little meaning.
Being attuned to Reiki adds consciousness to what you already naturally have and getting to know it gives you access to a flow of energy you can use, similar to tuning into a radio station. Reiki teaches you to use energy consciously, and the more you use Reiki, the more energy you have and the greater good you can do for yourself and others.
Imagine for a minute that you have a never-ending source of energy and you know what to do with it and you grasp the benefits of Reiki. After even one training in Reiki you will be able to use it to help yourself and others right away. I use Reiki every day in every day ways and in special situations. I give myself Reiki to relieve stress, I send Reiki to people over long distances or short distances, I help a friend when they have a headache, I use it to heal a twisted ankle when I’m hiking, and I use it to help heal my clients.
There are four levels of Reiki. Reiki I, Reiki II, Advanced Reiki and Reiki Master. Each level puts you in touch with more refined and more powerful ways to use energy. Your Ki and your ability to work with Rei become stronger and stronger.
