Rising star is a profoundly deep cleansing process, and requires 3-21 day cycles to manifest fully. There is a 3-week gap between each session to allow the energy to work on the 7 major charkas 3 times. From crown to root, root to crown and back again. 1 chakra will be worked on each day. Each charka will be worked on 3 times.

In the first session the mind has a tendency to want to follow what is going on and most people do not relax deeply, fully trust and let go. Just as the physical body takes time to adjust to a cleanse and manifest healing, all of your bodily systems need time to manifest the first level of healing for the Rising Star modality.

In the second session the cleansing has been in process for 21 days, so there is a greater feeling of well being. You know what to expect and feel much more relaxed and safe. The mind will let go of control more and deeper dis-ease can be looked at and worked on.

In the 3rd session the entire being surrenders to and is filled with light and love. More joy, love and peace will enter your life, your physical health will increase, and you will have more control of your mind, and more access to your heart space. You will feel greater connection to source.

Rising Star Q and A

1. Why did you become a Rising Star practitioner/ teacher?

I have been present when Derek has done healings, and I have been personally healed by him and have had powerful healing experiences with other members of SQ Wellness. The healing energy offered by SQ is so profound and life changing that when the opportunity arose to become a Rising Star Practitioner there was no question about whether or not I would take it.

2. Why do you practice Rising Star? How does the Rising Star differ from other healing modalities you have practiced?

I practice Rising Star to be in service to the divine.

The Rising Star differs from the other healing modalities I offer in that it is itself. I channel the Rising Star energy through my hands, and I follow the simple procedure for the session using my mind and body, but there is a way in which I know I am not the doer. Other then following the format for the healing I have nothing to do.

What I mean by that is that as a healer I strive to get out of my own way so that the Atman can guide the session. If I am absorbed in the workings of my body and mind then I am not immersed in the Atman and for the work that I do, the Atman has the greatest power to heal. This is because the Atman does not have a need to heal and it sees everything as whole and healed already, so it has no agenda (nothing to do) the healing happens around it because it is pure being, or pure light. Therefore, the healing happens regardless of what my ego wants to accomplish. In fact, if I attempt to *do* a healing and am attached to an outcome, the context and the content of the healing will be flat. The view from the Atmans' window in and of itself is what accomplishes the healing, it is what is done without doing.

I am not a Mahatma, and as such I know that my interpretations of *the truth* are just that, interpretations. I say this as a disclaimer. What I believe I experience when I facilitate a Rising Star is a taste of the profound teaching of non-action in action which is a powerful gift. In the other healing modalities I practice I strive for the same state of consciousness so easily achieved in facilitating a Rising Star Healing Session, and I achieve it, but most of the other modalities I work with require more mental and physical effort on my part to accomplish and because they do it is more challenging to let go of being the doer and engage the Atman.

3. What have you found to be the most astonishing feature of the Rising Star?

That I am not the doer, and I am. My body is performing actions, my mind is thinking, but I am at times pure consciousness. Again, it is the teaching of non-action in action.

I have heard Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri disciple of Mata Amritanandamayi (affectionately referred to as "big Swami and Amma" respectively) describe non-action in action and action in non-action best and I highly recommend the simple way in which Amma and Big Swami illuminate profound teachings. I also note that in the presence of a Mahatma like Amma spiritual experiences are possible even for non seekers and understanding the concept of action and non-action has a lot more to do with the context in which it is presented then the content itself. In other words, hearing these teachings in the presence of a Mahatma is critical to tasting its nectar.

The context for Rising Star Healings is provided for by the energy itself. The presence of the divine is very strong and even visceral in a Rising Star Session. The content of the session changes with the needs of the client and is always exactly what the client needs.

4. Why would you recommend the Rising Star?

A Rising Star Session is an opportunity to touch the divine. It is a darshan. It seeds a transformation that if allowed to grow can help someone to overcome any obstacle in their life.

5. Can you anonymously describe an amazing healing result or reaction someone had after or during their Rising Star Session? I know we shouldn't look for results, but this is a promotional article ;)

6. How does Rising Star complement your profession?
